We take everyone we know to the Walkway Over the Hudson. It doesn't matter if the sun is shining or there's a bit of a breeze ...
...or strong gale winds. The good news is that no one else was brave enough to stand over the middle of the Hudson on such a day. We had the whole place to ourselves!

2/25/10-2/27/10 Snow Storm

After an hour or so of shoveling Thursday night Kristin was rewarded with a few minutes of snowboard-sledding. It's a new sport. Self explanatory really.
All you need is a snowboard and a little momentum. Gravity will take care of the rest.

We lost power at about 8:55PM on 2/26/10. Believe it or not we felt lucky to be out of power for 20hrs, because that was nothing compared to the 2, 3, and in some neighborhoods, 4 or 5 days some people were without power. The heavy snow stuck to everything and knocked down branches, trees, and power lines.

The Nittany Lion?

No power? No problem. We kept the wood stove cranking and the temperature in the family room never dropped below 74°!

2-19-10 Weekend

A beautiful day to trek across the Walkway Over the Hudson.

Looking South towards the Mid-Hudson Bridge.

The view of the Hudson looking North.

And what better way to end your weekend, then with a couple games of Wii Bowling and few rounds of Wii Boxing?
